Not good, but not bad

First of all this is only what I experienced in a recent 11 night holiday at the Ocean El Faro. Loved the Ocean El Faro Resort! The check in was busy and very slow, with a lack of information given out eg nothing about privilege and El Beso. We were assigned a butler at check-in. He showed us how to get to our room. On first inspection the room was adequate, but nothing special. Over the next couple of days we found the following issues. 1) There was no means to clean toilet - no brush or jet wash. 2) Fridge did not cool cans - reported issue, but never fixed. 3) Bath had no plug - reported issue, but never fixed. 4) The lock on sliding doors were broken and didnt lock - looked to have been broken for quite a while. All the above are minor, but show there are no room checks carried out prior to guests arriving. Other guests seemed to have the same minor issues. Never had any problems getting into the A La Cartes and all were of good quality. All the pools were great and we all enjoyed the lazy river, many times over. If you are looking for a family friendly spot in the DR. This hotel is ok, but not luxurious - if you can get it at a reasonable price.

Good resort with helpful butler!!

We went to Ocean El Faro with family and loved it! The resort was good. Loved the chill vibes. We unknowingly went during off season in DR and found that the resort didnt have many activities going on because there werent many visitors there. I dont think this is a issue with the resort itself but just the timing because others on the excursions had a similar experience. Our butler, Kevin Paulino was great, he made sure our room was stocked everyday since we needed milk for the baby and made reservations for different restaurants for our family every night. Very thankful for him!! One thing I would change is there are agents trying veryyy hard to sell you timeshares. The resort should limit that. The agents stand in all the common areas and try to rope you in for the presentation. I understand them trying to sell the timeshare but maybe not everywhere on the resort. They should ask once and if youre not interested then move on. Other than that we enjoyed a relaxing vacation.

The best Mojitos ever by Luis in the piano bar at H10 Punta Cana. Very friendly and the Mocktails are great too for my 9 yr old daughter. Service very good, so attentive and never miss the attention to detail.

Amazing experience

This resort was so amazing children friendly. Me and my family had a awesome time, the staff was friendly check in was quick and easy. The buffet was a 8/10 my little one went for pizza mostly every day but it was good to me. I love how the staff cleans up around the resort daily. The restaurant stake house was awesome I can eat that every night of my stay, in room dining wasn't so bad. Yes I will be back at this resort.
