First time here but wont be the last.

Just returned from spending a fabulous week here. Our first but wont be the last. The hotel is spotless, always staff cleaning. Our room was in building 11 which was close to everything. We had a comfy king bed, love the walk in shower and separate whirlpool tub. Lots of storage, fridge stocked every day. We spent most of our time around the pool with the entertainment which was fabulous. Alejandro and Eduardo were amazing, and made us the best drinks. We did go down early around 7am to get our seats. One downfall of this resort is that they need more loungers, more spread out and more shade. The buffet was great. Lots of variety to choose from. Antonio at the buffet was our favourite server. Great guy!! We had delicious burgers, dogs and fries at ocean burger beside the pool. Also, yummy tacos at the Mexican restaurant for lunch. The Italian restaurant we ate at three times and had the most tender steak. Caesar salad was delish as was the Canoli for dessert. The guys in the lobby bar, Marco, Franky,Mateo were amazing. The entertainment in the evening was great. Silent party was our favourite. The beach wasnt great, we didnt go in the water as it is too murky and full of sargassum. Mother Nature, no fault of the hotel.

First time but wont be the last!

We just returned from a weeks trip to OCT and Im writing my review while everything is fresh in my mind. We had a fantastic time, we were sad to leave. We were originally booked to go to Cuba, so when we had to switch I was really disappointed because we wouldnt be getting the beach we love. I can honestly say everything exceeded our expectations. We stayed in building 17 on the first floor as regular guests. Rooms: Our room was the basic room but it was spacious and very clean. We had two beds but just slept in one and it was very comfortable, not too firm and not too soft. There was plenty of storage for our clothes and it was nice not to have to live out of the suitcase and be able to unpack. Nice big bathroom with separate stall for shower and toilet and the tub and sink are together. This was ok as a couple but I think if you were travelling with friends or a group it may get a little awkward as privacy isnt fantastic. Theres no real door to the bathroom, just a curtain. We always had clean towels, facecloths, and some amenities. Fridge was stocked daily and we left a note with what we would like more of with a tip in the fridge and we always got what we wanted. AC worked best when the ceiling fan was on to circulate the air. Overall I give the rooms a 8.5/10. Food: Food was excellent! We loved the buffet, the quality of the food was great and the variety was huge. Even if you were a picky eater there was something for everyone. I like to eat on the healthier side so when I saw I could make a yogurt parfait in the morning with chia seeds, nuts, fresh honey and fruit I was quite impressed! They always had a self serve drink station for mimosas and Bloody Marys at breakfast, and other drinks at lunch and dinner. My only disappointment with the buffet was sometimes it was hard to find condiments as they are spread out amongst the different stations rather than in one area together, and I would have liked to see more Mexican food choices. The buffet opens at 630am for continental breakfast and this was highly appreciated as we had an early departure our last day. For the la carte restaurants we did the Sensai one which I really enjoyed, the Italian, and Bucaneros which reopened on our last night there so we were the first day to try it. The la carte food was really good, and they accommodated requests and allergies very well. My only issue is at the la cartes they didnt really offer any drinks. We were shown an upcharge menu of wines and that was it. If you didnt order from that, they never offered any drink alternatives like house wine or even pop. It was kind of forgotten about. Mikes coffee shop is fantastic, and we went to the icecream shop once and enjoyed that too. The little smoothie bar is so cute and our smoothies were so good, they offered a good break in the day from alcoholic drinks at the pool. Route 66 was really good too!! Its the cutest restaurant of them all, and offers a bbq diner experience, with milkshakes!! Ocean burger was a great option for lunch as we could eat and head right back into the pool. The burgers were great. Food at this resort I am giving a 9/10. Entertainment The entertainment team works very hard during the day offering activities for kids and adults alike. I participated in aquafit and had a great time, but they also offered lots of games, volleyball, and basketball in the pool. They dont pressure you to join in, but they make sure everyone knows whats going on with announcements. The shows at night were so fun! I loved the Michael Jackson and fire shows! We really liked the bingo they played just before the shows too! We booked a catamaran excursion with Irving Escobar with Dive It and had a great day out on the water. Our catamaran excursion took us to Isla Mujeres and the crew on the boat were excellent and most importantly we felt very safe the entire day. Escobar is very informative and willing to help with any questions you might have while youre in Mexico, he even helped us with some tips for when we went to Playa Del Carmen for the day. There is an excursion for everyone all you need to do is go and chat with him and he will help you find the one that suits you and your group! Entertainment is a 10/10. Pools/Beach I didnt use the beach at all this trip. If you want to see a nice beach, book an excursion to Isla mujeres or Cozumel. The beach wasnt horrendous, but the water was very murky and brown so I didnt bother even getting in. The beach was ok for walking, there was enough sand between the sargassum and the water you could get a good walk in if thats your thing. The sand was lovely and soft. The resort has plenty of pools to use, we spent the entire time at the Chill Out pool or as we liked to call it the party pool. This is where all the activities happened. There is another large pool not far from it for regular guests to use as well over by the smoothie bar but this one seemed to have more kids in it so we stayed where we were. We didnt have issues getting loungers, but we were up fairly early. I noticed each day that there was a decent amount of loungers available, so if you are worried about that, I dont think itll be an issue. I didnt go to the kids pool or the privileged one so cant comment on those. The bartenders at the pool were great!! They made delicious drinks from the menu, and would also make you something good if you didnt know what to order. Some good ones I had were strawberry mojitos, mango banana, Havana lights, green tea shot, and a Superman shot. Alessandro (I think thats his name) was always ready with a good drink and a smile! They have a good non-alcoholic menu as well. I will give the beach a 4/10 and the pools 8/10. Service The service at this resort is excellent. Everyone is polite, friendly, and always willing to help. The resort works like a well oiled machine and the staff work very well together and seem to enjoy the work they do and the people they work with which is very nice to see. 10/10. Cleanliness Amazing. The first time I walked into the lobby bathrooms I was amazed! Cleaner than some of the bathrooms I have been to in Canada. The pool bathrooms are kept clean as well. Probably the cleanest resort I have ever been to. The staff are constantly working cleaning, fixing and maintaining. I have never seen staff work so hard as I have at this resort. 10/10. Overall, we had a fantastic time. This was only my 2nd time in Mexico and my partners first time and he couldnt believe how much fun he had and how much he loved it. I highly recommend this resort. Many good qualities

We stayed at the Ocean Coral and Turquesa resort in Cancun for three weeks in April 2026. I feel the resort is good value for your money. We got a partial ocean and pool view which we loved. The room was very spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The best part about the hotel was the staff. They were amazing. Leslie was a beautiful soul with the timeshare staff that was very friendly and helpful. They had a timeshare programme at the hotel that gave you access to the privilege programme that gave you your own butler and a few extra restaurants. Henry was a server at the latte bar in the lobby was always very friendly and hardworking. Luis was a wonderful waiter at Casa del Mar buffet restaurant trying to perfect his English. He had amazing energy. The food at the buffet was excellent. They had a wonderful selection of food ranging from salad bars, an omelette station, dessert crepes several times a week at lunch made right in front of you, soups, theme nights for dinner like Japanese, Italian, Seafood and others. I loved the five specialty restaurants they had including Italian, Mexican, Japanese, the Brazilian Steakhouse and the French restaurants. We always got reservations through guest services when our app didnt work. They also had a coffee shop with coffee, tea, smoothies and sandwiches, desserts and muffins which we loved. They had a bowling alley, billiard table, ping pong table and air hockey as well as other activities during the day. We went to a guacamole class which we loved. However the beach had seaweed on it but we sat in the lounge chairs listening to the waves rolling in. There were so many great things about the resort that this was secondary. Overall spacious room, great view, great gym, great food and the most amazing people.
