This was my second time back at OCT. Friends of mine got married there 10 years ago so we made another trip 10 years later back to the same beautiful resort.
The service that you get from this resort is absolutely incredible. Staff go out of their way to give you the best possible experience, they remember your name, and their interactions are very genuine.
We booked privileged this time around as the first time we did not. I love the privileged experience. Our butler Elizabeth was an absolute gem. She was very organized. We had a group of about 16 of us. She was able to accommodate dinner reservations for us at the restaurants for our group. And all of the restaurants, including the buffet, they were very attentive in regards to guests in our group who had food allergies. The food and drinks were really good.
We stayed in a privilege room with a garden view in building 7. Our room was 6207 and was so clean and we had zero issues. Housekeeping was absolutely incredible. There was always lots in our fridge.
There are so many people to mention that made this trip absolutely incredible. Elizabeth at the privilege pool(entertainment) was so adorable, had so much energy and everyone just gravitated to her. She is so good at her job. I just know shes definitely gonna go places.
Jose by the privilege pool was rocking it. Hed pretty much already have our drinks to us before we could even say our order to him and the privilege pool staff were so attentive and so kind. We made sure to take care of them. We didnt seem to have a problem getting loungers as I was up early every morning to watch the sunrise.Willberth, Jasson, Ivan, Freddie at the El Beso Bistro/bar were excellent as well. Excellent service.

Yes the beach had some sargassum but it didnt bother us. We were mainly at the pool anyhow.

Worthwhile upgrading to Privilege at this busy resort

Great holiday, upgraded to Privilege and loved the breakfast & lunches on the terrace in the Privilege lounge, worth the upgrade cost alone.
Jose at the pool was fantastic, along with Javier, and Claudia was fab as our butler. Enrique and Vitalino were so lovely and looked after us so well.
Not being able to swim in the sea due to seaweed was a bit disappointing but we booked a snorkelling trip with turtles which was great and made up for it. If you dont upgrade be prepared to get up early, around 6am to get a sunbed by the pool!
