Ocean Coral & Turquesa El Beso, Riviera Maya

We stayed here for 8 nights. It is exceptionally clean and a very well looked after hotel. Plenty of places to go to eat on site. The Italian restaurant was amazing, we really enjoyed it in there. The pool with the swim up bar was great fun! If you wanted a more chilled and relaxed day then there was a lovely larger quieter pool. There were a few negatives - You cant purchase any bottled water. If you wanted bottled water you have to ask at reception for some to be delivered to your room. It would be great if they had free vending machines that you could get water bottles from during the day. We had two days when there was heavy rainfall, and this caused water to come through the ceiling and some of the plaster to come away and fall on the floor. This happened on both nights. I must say once reported the staff were quick to come and fix the damage. On top of the swim up bar there is an area called Ocean Burger where you can get burger and fries. What I found really odd was that you wasnt allowed to sit and eat there straight from the pool. You had to dry yourself and cover up. I could understand if you was going inside but this place is on the pool side and is outside. Very over the top and unnecessary to ask people to dry off and cover up. There was one gift shop in the hotel. Very expensive! 16 USD (12) for two bags of Doritos. The sea water was brown, I think this was down to the amount of seaweed there was which had to be cleared off the sand every morning which did create a bit of a smell. We had a great time here. I wouldnt come here again because I would want the crystal clear sea water experience, but I will come back to Mexico.

Great location, fantastically clean hotel with staff who couldn't be more helpful. Our room was lovely very spacious with a great tropical garden view. The food in the restaurants is first class. Particularly the Blue Moon and Italian but they are all great. The staff around the pool are brilliant. Special praise to Antonio in the juice bar, Jemma who works tirelessly bringing drinks, Rene in the lobby who is super helpful and a big shout out to Murricio who is new to the team and gave us the most fantastic mixology lesson, something we won't forget and I'd recommend. Its a paid for expebut for what you get the value is amazing All in all this place is paradise!!

Our Butler Luis was absolutely fantastic, facilitated all our requests including a few rogue ones! Luis took all the stress out of arranging dinner times, arranged a taxi to the market in cancun with another couple meaning the taxi fare was half the price. We had days out and would need to change our dinner time, messaged Luis and he arranged no problem. Luis certainly has made our holiday far more enjoyable and relaxed and we can't thank him enough for the service he has provided, definitely worth the 5* rating and an absolute credit to the hotel.

Our butler Luis was brilliant no question too much and able to facilitate some of our more rouge tasks, he switched dinner reservations with ease, we missed him on his day off as we felt he was the best !
