Ocean Coral & Turquesa El Beso, Riviera Maya

We love Coral and Turquesa! Every time we visit we're impressed with the cleanliness of the facility and the level of care and attentiveness of the staff. We spent lots of time at the daisy pool this week; the bar staff there, Pedro y Erica, were excellent at accommodating our family, making sure everyone of every age was taken care of. Also, the privilege lounge team was as amazing as always. Thank you, Susana, Victor, Eduardo, Emanuel y Jesús.

August 2025 was our third visit to OCT. Our previous trips were in 2024 and 2018. Once again, the staff make this resort and our trip every time! Special thanks to Alberto (butler), Auzcena (Blue Moon), Jose, Charley and Ricardo (Privilege El Beso pool), Elizabeth (Blue team), Adela (Spa), Marco (Lobby bar), Edwin and Erik (Las Girasoles), Jordan (Lobby, special bartender), Jose, Vitalino, Angel, Yasmin (Privilege Lounge), Freddy and Ivan (Bistro) and Deysi (Rt.66). We opted for the Privilege upgrade again and I do think that it is worthwhile if it is within your budget. Check-in/Check-Out: Both processes were smooth. We arrived around 11 AM. The lobby is open air so there is no AC. Of course, in August this can get quite hot but we did come prepared so that we could change into appropriate clothes. In 2024, we met Alberto, our butler and we were able to request him again. At check in, Alberto met us and once again, we felt like we were at home! Alberto immediately set our dinner reservations for the evening and we discussed our plans for the week. Our room wasnt quite ready yet but we decided to relax at the lobby bar and stayed there for about an hour when Alberto let us know that our room was ready and he would come and collect us. Room: We were in building 7, room7304 in the El Beso section and had one of the updated rooms. It was very comfortable for two people. When we visited in 2024, these rooms were being refurbished so we were pleased with the new features of the room. The safe worked very well. There is a TON of closet space. The balcony and bed were very comfortable. Initially I was concerned because our balcony faced the party pool and I was worried about the noise. The sliding doors are great and we heard no noise, day or night. The TV and fridge worked without any issues. The fridge was restocked daily with plenty of water, sodas and alcohol. We had no issues with the AC or the fan, which was a blessing since it was very hot in August. The housekeeping service was excellent and the room was refreshed daily and promptly. This building was very close to the Privilege Lounge and El Beso pool which was very convenient throughout the week. Privilege: If you have the means, this is a great option that really makes the Ocean properties stand out. Having the convenience of a butler, the Privilege special dinner, various discounts and top shelf liquor makes the experience extra special. The lounge is wonderful, especially when it is very hot and you need some AC. They also have coffee and other beverages an hour before the coffee shop opens. The service is above expectation. The entire Privilege lounge team needs to be commended for their kindness and professionalism. They went above and beyond and recalled our specific likes and requests. The Privilege bar is a great place to get drinks throughout the day and evening. It is less crowded and there is an area with couches, books and games where you can get out of the heat and enjoy the views. Food: All the restaurants we very good and we had no stomach issues. We particularly enjoyed the Privilege dinner, Blue Moon, Ristatto d Italia and Las Girasoles. We had reservations so we did not have to wait at any time. We were hoping to do the outdoor Italian, however, that evening major storms came through so that wasnt possible. Fortunately, Alberto had arranged a back-up reservation for us at the lounge. Dinner was seamless. Again, these are the small touches that make the holiday that much more enjoyable. The service at all restaurants was professional and everyone went out of their way to make sure each meal was special. Pool: We only used the El Beso pool. It was quiet and closest to our room. We never had any issues with getting chairs but there are some people who do play the chair game but it seemed to be less at this pool during this week. Of course, Ricardo is the best and is always making sure we have drinks. The new Privilege lunch menu was great! The burger, skewers and tacos are great and so nice when you do not want to leave the pool for lunch. Jose and Charley also make the Privilege section amazing! Beach: As others have mentioned, the beach is unfortunately overrun with sargassum. The amount of erosion in just the last year, that we observed is truly sad. Of course, this is not the fault of the resort. Every day there were several large tractors and portable dumpster type apparatus that would work very hard to remove the sargassum. It is a battle against mother nature and there is little that can be done. All the resorts in this area are suffering the same issues. We enjoy the pool so much so that didnt ruin our vacation but if you are set on beach days, this entire region isnt likely going to be for you. Overall, your vacation is what you make of it. When you consider the amount of people that are being serviced throughout the day and night, the efficiency of the operations at OCT is quite impressive. For this resort, the price yields great value. It is not too big, nor too small and everywhere we went, employees in a variety of capacities, would greet us with a friendly smile and a pleasant greeting. The staff work so hard and are the reason we will return.

Probably the best resort we've been to. All the staff are so friendly and helpful. Plenty of activities. The facilities are great. Great food. Zero complaints, had the best time.

This was our second time at this resort and it is honestly one of our favourite places to go. The resort is always beautiful, very clean, and the employees are one of a kind. Every time I've gone here, I've made memories that will last a lifetime for me. We had the same receptionist check us in as the last time, Jocsan, and he is always so professional, friendly, funny and kind. He remembered us from last time which is a testament to how good of an employee he is and he truly feels like a friend to us. We always look for him when we come there because he is such a friendly person to deal with. He upgraded us to an El Beso suite and the room was newly renovated and beautiful, and it also gave us access to the private El Beso pool and an extra restaurant. Samuel at guest services was also very helpful and an excellent person to deal with. The bartenders at the swim up bar (Alejandro, Alexi, Edwin) were also great and always remembered us and which drinks we'd like. The resort has great food/restaurants with Sensai and Hacienda Los Girasoles being our favourite. For the price this place is an amazing stay and it definitely won't be our last time staying here!
