Ocean Blue & Sand, Punta Cana

I spent a week at the resort with my teenaged daughters. We were pleasantly surprised with how large, beautifully decorated and beautiful the resort was in person. The lobby is absolutely stunning; with it's modern decor! The marble black & white floors, the warm coloured chairs and table settings, the white leather oversided sofas, plus the eclectic lighting fixtures and chandeliers. Not to mention the modern, appropriately themed artwork that graced every wall space possible. Aptly so, the turquoise tiled lobby bar was at the centre of it all! I felt like I was in a elegantly styled Great Gatsby movie! The cleanliness of all the premises did not go unnoticed! The grounds were immaculately manicured, which was evident everyday (there was always someone tending to the palm trees and gardens). The rooms were spotless, and each and every time a chair was moved...it was quickly put back in place. The lobby, pool area, and each area were always ship/shape first thing in the morning (if not sooner). The staff was friendly, knowledgeable and efficient- no matter what their duty was. The restaurant food was above expectations, especially the Japanese and Mexican. The buffets were plentiful, throughout every meal. There was nothing you could ask for, that wasn't already there! I loved the bucket filled with chilled champagne bottles, ready to make mimosas (so unexpected)! My favorite part of OBS was the Blue Team!! We loved interacting with them all, especially S@xy Boy, Shaggy, Yanburo, Blue-Jorge and La Dramitica!! They showed exceptional skill, and desire and passion for what they do! They engaged with the entire crowd, paying attention to everyone, giving dance lessons, sport tips and friendly conversation! We felt completely entertained by the multiple activities, shows, displays and performances that were played throughout the day, on a daily basis. The choice of singers, dancers, actors and performers were highly exceptional and talented! We were never bored, there was always something to see and to join in! Not only were the performances great, but the music that accompanied, was fabulous! Kuddos to DJ Brody, DJ Chulo and DJ Flaco. The fact that we were always able to access a beach chair under a palm tree umbrella was fascinating to us, there was no need to reserve or fight for loungers. The beach bar was always fully stocked, tended by very pleasant and hard-working staff! I only wish that there were snacks offered at this bar, as sometimes we were too relaxed, or hot to have to walk to the main building for a light bite! We definitely are going to recommend Ocean Blue & sand to our family and friends, in fact we haven't stopped talking about how wonderful our time there was! This was my second solo stay in the Dominican Republic. I loved this resort and not sure why it was only 4* rated at that time. The beach is amazing and the entire resort is very well kept. I loved the dinner places, amazing barbecues! The gym area could be improved but it was enough for a vacation. I would defo come back.

Great hotel entertainment is great sexy boy what can I say. He is a true entertainer the best dancer in the hotel and great fun. Service is good food is good. The drinks at the pool are great, Rayer is great.
